Georgia's Ivanishvili resigns from politics

Georgia's former prime minister and chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream coalition Bidzina Ivanishvili has officially resigned from politics. Ivanishvili made the announcement today at a party convention.

"I have formed a better team, I have brought democratic forces into politics. That was my mission and I have accomplished it," he is quoted as saying by News-Georgia.
