The North Ossetian department of the Russian Service for Health and Consumer Rights has forbidden swimming in the city's main lake, due to the large amount of bacteria and viruses there. Hot weather, crowds and low water levels caused the contamination. The center where the lake is located has had its work suspended for five days.
