Russian President Vladimir Putin said that migration will be one of the main topics for discussions at the G8 summit in Sochi. He asked Romano Prodi, UN Special Envoy and Italian ex-Prime Minister, to help prepare a report and find solutions to the problem, RIA Novosti reports.
Putin noted that the topic was very important for Russia, Italy and Europe in general. He asked Prodi to consult the Valdai Club or experts.
Russia will become the G8 chair on January 1, 2014. The summit is expected to be held in Sochi in June.
