Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsin Pakayin said today that the Azerbaijani-Iranian commission of border guards will hold a session in December and discuss bridge use at the Julfa Checkpoint, Trend reports.
Iranian and Azerbaijani specialists confirmed that the bridge has a capacity of over 30 tons of cargo.A tractor was attacked at River Arak by two unidentified assailants using 7.62mm guns in Iran at 6.15 pm on November 5. Azerbaijan closed the Shakhtakhty-Poldesht Checkpoint in response. Iran closed checkpoints in Julfa and Bilasuvar on November 7. Some problems remain but restrictions at the border have been lifted.
