Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says the withdrawal of the foreign forces from Afghanistan would pave the way for the establishment of peace and security in the Asian country, Iran's state-run media outlet Press TV reports.
Zarif is quoted as saying on Tuesday that the pullout of the US-led troops from Afghanistan would eliminate the grounds for extremism and pave the way for the progress and welfare of the Afghan people.
Minister Zarif made such remarks during his meeting with Afghan Foreign Minister Zarar Ahmad Moqbel Osmani in the framework of the 21st Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organizationheld in Tehran.
