The Russian Foreign Ministry has sent a protest note to the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan in connection with the use of firearms by Kazakh border guards during the detention of Russian fishermen, the ministry's representative Maria Zakharova is quoted as saying by the the Voice of Russia.
"According to available information, on November 25 Kazakh border guards detained two small boats with 8 Russian citizens, residents of Dagestan, on board… As a result of the use of firearms, one of them was killed, another one wounded, the rest were detained," Zakharova is quoted as saying.
