Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze, Georgian Minister for Economy Georgy Kvirikashvili, EU Chief Diplomat Catherine Ashton and European Commissioner Karen Gucht have put initials in the association agreement at the Vilnius summit of the Eastern Partnership.
Earlier, the EU had signed an agreement with Azerbaijan to simplify the visa regime.
Georgian President Georgy Margvelashvili made a short speech after the initialing ceremony.
