The speaker of the State Duma, the lower chamber of the Russian Parliament, Sergey Naryshkin, says the idea of Eurasian integration first voiced by Russian President Vladimir Putin is becoming ever more popular.
"Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have officially announced that they would join the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan and pursue membership of the Eurasian Economic Union," Naryshkin is quoted as saying by ITAR-TASS.
"We are going to support Armenia and Kyrgyzstan in their Eurasian integration," the speaker said.
