Another group of protesters will gather in the centre of Tbilisi this evening to express solidarity with demonstrators in Kiev and other Ukrainian cities demanding European integration, said one of the Georgian activists Otar Karelashvili, News Georgia reports.
The protests in Ukraine were organized via social networks. Tbilisi activist will start protests at 6.00 pm. Ukrainian singer and TV host Ivanna Melay plans to join the protesters to express outrage over violence Ukrainian police officers used to suppress the demonstrators on Saturday.
Mass demonstrations for European integration started in Ukraine on November 21, when the government announced a halt to signing of the EU association agreement planned to be initialed at the Vilnius summit of the Eastern Partnership.
