Syrian President Bashar al-Assad wants to head the country's future interim government, a Syrian government minister is quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
The minister stresses that Assad is also planning to remain the president of Syria.
The formation of an interim government is one of the main demands of the country's opposition.
