A group of Iranian lawmakers is going to visit the Arak heavy water facility in central Markazi Province, Iranian state-run media outlet Press TV cites a senior lawmaker as saying.
Members of the Parliamentary National Security and Foreign Policy Committee are scheduled to visit the plant in two weeks’ time, said the committee spokesman Hossein Naqavi Hosseini on Tuesday
The Arak reactor, which uses natural uranium to produce radio medicines, is planned to gradually replace the Tehran research reactor to produce medical radioisotopes for cancer patients, Press TV reports.
