A plenary session at the Georgian parliament was stopped yesterday when MPs Georgy Baramidze of the United National Movement and Soso Jachvliani of the Georgian Dream coalition started brawling, Gazeta.ru reports.Jachvliani is of Svaneti origin. He commented on the special operation in the area on March 24, 2004, and insulted Baramidze who was at that time the Interior Minister.Brothers Yevgeny and Omekh Aprasidze were killed in the operation. Other brothers Shmagi and Gocha Aprasidze were sentenced to 18 and 20 years in prison. The Aprasidze family was considered a criminal gang. When the government of Georgia changed, the case was renewed. Dodo Aprasidze, the mother of the brothers, accuses ex-Minister for Justice Zurab Adeishvili and Baramidze of reprisals against the family.
