Participants of the informal CSTO summit in Yerevan see clear steps towards further expansion of cooperation within the organization, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said, News Armenia reports.
The two-day informal summit started in Yerevan on August 20th, participated in by Armenia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Sargsyan said at a meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that realization of the plans will move the organization on to a new level.
The summit has two issues to consider: stabilization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan and establishment of an efficient crisis reaction system.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev thanked his Armenian counterpart for organizing the summit and the opportunity for work.
