Alexey Mitrofanov, head of the Russian parliamentary committee for information policy, information technologies and communication, said that 7 republics in the Caucasus had good chances for development due to their natural resources and agriculture.
The MP noted that the Caucasus needed to develop information technologies, cover all residential areas with wi-fi in the next 2-3 years.
The politician added that stability in the region was improved in 2013 because Dagestan and Ingushetia had cancelled direct elections.
