Kabardino-Balkarian MPs propose higher fines for hooliganism

Kabardino-Balkarian members of the lower chamber of the Russian parliament have introduced a bill to increase fines for low-scale hooliganism, drinking beer in public places, drunkenness. The bill was presented by Khamid Bashorov, Head of the parliamentary committee of Kabardino-Balkaria.

According to the document, maximum fines for low-scale hooliganism will rise from 1,000 to 3,000 rubles and from 2,500 to 5,000 rubles. Fines for drinking beer in public places will grow from 300 to 600 rubles and from 700 to 2,000 rubles. Fines for being drunk will rise from 500 to 1,500 rubles.
