President of Georgia Georgi Margvelashvili said that the rights of the ex-premier, a remand prisoner and secretary general of the former ruling party United National Movement, Ivane Merabishvili, need to be protected.Speaking on Tuesday in court, Merabishvili accused the chief prosecutor of Georgia, Otar Partshaladze, of exerting pressure and blackmailing him.
