Russian Foreign Ministry: representatives of Syrian opposition to attend Geneva-2 have not yet been chosen

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Gennady Gatilov has said that the composition of the delegation of the Syrian opposition at the Geneva-2 conference has not yet been defined.Gatilov added that there has been no final decision on the readiness of the Syrian opposition to participate in the negotiations."As for the government, it stated that it would take part in the conference without any preconditions," Gatilov said. Gatilov said that it is very important for the conference to attract both the government and the opposition. "Only then can one expect that decisions that will be taken during the dialogue between the government and the opposition have a chance of implementation," the official said.
