Azerbaijan and Georgia discuss issues of territorial cooperation

The main topic of the regional conference held today in the Georgian region of Kakheti were the advantages and opportunities of territorial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The conference's theme is "The way to strengthen territorial cooperation of the Eastern Partnership countries: the program of territorial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia."

Common problems of economic and social development of the border areas of the two countries have been in the focus of discussion.

The meeting, as noted by the organizers, provides local authorities and civil society organizations a platform for open discussions about the priorities of territorial cooperation and peculiarities of regional development, Georgia Online reports.
