Interior Minister of Pakistan visits Iran

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Pakistan, Rehman Malik, arrived on a visit to Iran last night, Trend reports citing Iranian state television IRINN .

The main purpose of the visit is to discuss issues of security and control of the two countries' common border. According to Iranian media, as a result of floods in Pakistan a lot of refugees are trying to cross the border with Iran. Head of the Red Cross Society of Iran Mostafa Najjar and other government officials are intent on visiting the territory of Pakistan affected by the floods.


Rehman Malik will meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Foreign Minister Monuchehr Mottaki, his Iranian counterpart, Mostafa Najjar and Parliamentary Speaker Ali Larijani.
