Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov met Badr Jamous, Secretary General of the Syrian National Coalition of Opposition and Revolutionary Forces, in Geneva. They discussed preparations for the international conference on Syria that Monteux (Switzerland) will host on January 22, 2014, RIA Novosti reports.
Russia emphasized the need to speed up political settlement of the crisis in Syria and encourage a full-fledged dialogue without pre-conditions.
