Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has given names to the first to dry-cargo ships of Kazakhstan floated out today, Trend reports.
He named one of them Turkestan and the other one Beket Ata. Nazarbayev congratulated everyone on the event.
Mikhail Yalbychev, the captain of one of the ships, said that Aktau was an essential cargo port of the Caspian Sea. He added that the port was increasing its capacity for cargo transportation. Kazakhstan Temir Zholy formed a company, purchased two ships with a capacity of 5,000 tons each to sail under the Kazakh flag.
