US wants UN resolution restoring sanctions against Iran

The US wants the UN Security Council to develop a resolution that would restore economic sanctions against Iran, should Tehran violate the agreements reached with six mediators (five permanent members of the UNSC and Germany) in Geneva on November 24, said US National Security Advisor Susan Rice, 1news.az reports.According to the US plan, the resolution should supplement the final agreement for the Iranian nuclear program the sides are working on. The action plan approved in Geneva has half a year for fulfillment and may be extended by half a year more.
