Colonel-General Nikolai Bogdanovsky, Commander of the Central Military District, will be promoted to Commander of the Ground Forces of Russia, Interfax reports.
He has already been Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces.
Colonel-General Vladimir Chirkin, ex-Commander of the Ground Forces, was charged with receiving a bribe of 450,000 rubles for helping provide housing.
