Russia ratifies agreement on joint air defenses with Kazakhstan

The Federation Council of Russia has ratified the Russian-Kazakh agreement to form joint air defenses, ITAR-TASS reports.The joint air defenses will be under the command of an officer presented by the Russian and Kazakh Defense Ministries and appointed by their presidents. The command of the air defenses will be situated in Almaty. The agreement was signed for five years and can be extended by 5-year periods.
