Georgian ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili, banned from Ukraine for encouraging pro-European protests at the Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square in Kiev in early December, has confidence that he will soon visit the country again, News Georgia reports.
The Ukrainian Security Service approved the initiative of Oleg Tsarev, a member of the Party of Regions, to ban 36 people, including Saakashvili, from Ukraine yesterday. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara said that he had not received a request and had no right to impose the ban. The Security Service has not composed a blacklist.
