Expert comments on Turkish-Israeli cooperation in energy sphere

Turkey and Israel are really close to signing an agreement aimed at harmonizing bilateral relations. According to Israeli officials, the document is almost ready and only a couple of issues are still to be finalized.

The two states are also believed to be starting cooperation in the sphere of the gas industry. Vestnik Kavkaza discussed the issue with political analyst Cenk Başlamışlı.

According to the expert, Turkey may soon become the main country engaged in delivering Israeli gas to the European market. Thus the country, together with Azerbaijan, will become the main gas supplier for European countries.

The infrastructural project launched in Turkey will be crucial for this, he stresses.
