Chairmanship of the G8 passes to Russia

Since the beginning of 2014 Russia took the chairmanship of the G8 - an informal forum of leaders of industrialized countries (U.S., Russia, Britain, France, Japan, Germany, Canada, Italy, as well as the leadership of the EU) .

 

In Sochi, from 4 to 5 June, 2014 the fortieth summit of the leaders of G8 will be held, the motto of which will be "Risk management for sustainable growth in a safe world", "Interfax" reports.

 

Antidrug cooperation, combating terrorism, conflict resolution, building a global risk management system of natural and man-made disasters, global health security are the priorities of the Russian presidency .
