After the meeting on the fight against terrorism at the regional administration in Volgograd, Russian President Vladimir Putin went to one of the hospitals where the victims of the terrorist attacks in the city were delivered.
Along the way, the president laid a bouquet of red roses to the scene of the trolleybus blow-up. On the scene there are a variety of flowers, candles and children's toys brought by the residents.
At the hospital, Putin questioned the experts on the status of patients and talked with survivors. Among the clinic's patients, there are law enforcement officials and residents of the city, RIA Novosti reports.
One of the victims thanked the President for consideration and assured him that "the residents of Volgograd have strong spirit and they could not be simply broken". Putin, in turn, wished her recovery and congratulated her on New Year.
Recall that Putin arrived in Volgograd early this morning. There he held a meeting on the fight against terrorism. The meeting was attended by the head of the FSS and MIA Alexander Bortnikov and Vladimir Kolokoltsov, head of the department of MIA in the Volgograd region Alexander Kravchenko, head of the regional department of FSS Sergey Blinov, Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova and Governor Sergei Bozhenov.
During a day, two explosions occurred in Volgograd: Sunday afternoon, the bomber blew himself up at the entrance to the railway station building, and oMonday morning, at rush hour another explosion took place in a crowded trolley bus. The death toll in the two attacks reached 34, and about 70 people were injured.
