British Foreign Secretary William Hague announced today that the priorities of the foreign policy activities of the country in the new year will be the end of the war in Syria, the closure of the Iranian nuclear dossier, and the fight against sexual violence in conflict zones.
"It is important that in 2014 we should continue diplomatic efforts to reach the end of the conflict in Syria and the full settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue. Also, we should spare no efforts to put an end to sexual violence in conflict zones. Therefore, we will hold in London an unprecedented global summit aimed at informing people about this problem and calling to action”, RIA Novosti quotes him.
Hague also added that in 2014 it is particularly important to build on the progress in the directions of Syria and Iran made in 2013.
