The US Department of State issued a travel alert on Friday for US citizens planning to attend the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Fox News reported on Friday.
The State Department warns Americans to “remain attentive” regarding “personal security at all times” due to the constant threat of possible terrorist attacks, which are quite frequent in the region, the TV channel informs.
The Department of State also advises tourists travelling to Russia to buy private health insurance, saying that the state healthcare system only provides questionable services.
