Georgian envoy says his country wants Sochi Olympics to be safe

Georgia's intention to help the Russian side to provide security during the coming Olympic Games, voiced by Minister Paaty Zakareshvili, was preceded by a year of corresponding talks, Georgia's Special Representative for Relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze told Vestnik Kavkaza.

"As we are going to take part in the Olympic Games and the event is beng held not far from our borders, we have offered the Russian side our help to provide security for the event," the Georgian official said.
