The NATO training in Armenia planned for September 11-17 may be cancelled if Turkey refuses to allow the NATO convoy to cross the border with Armenia, the head of the Eurasian department of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Mehmet Fatikh Jeylan said, Trend reports.
The diplomat said that if NATO were transporting military-technical equipment for the training, Ankara would not give its permission. But since the training will be held as part of the activities of the Emergency Ministry, Turkey will open the border temporarily.
According to the scenario, there is an earthquake in Armenia and the forces of NATO are providing aid, Jeylan said.
