The Patriarch of Moscow and all-Russia Kirill is ready to take part in solving the issue of returning the body of Azerbaijani warrant officer Mubariz Ibragimov. He said at a meeting with the head of the Muslim Directorate of the Caucasus, Allahshukur Pashazade, on Tuesday in Moscow that he received a letter from shaykh al-Islam and will take the necessary measures, Interfax reports.
Answering a question on the meetings of the Patriarch, Pashazade and the all-Armenian Catholicos, Kirill said they held regular meetings, such as the meeting in Azerbaijan.
Pashazade had requested the Patriarch to assist in the issue. On June 18th a shootout occured in the Terter region in the village of Chayly. 4 Armenian servicemen were killed and 4 injured. An Azerbaijani warrant officer, Mubariz Ibragimov, was killed on the occupied territory.
