Democracy in danger – Turkish prime minister

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a session of the Justice and Development Party that democracy in the republic was in danger, Trend reports.

He emphasized that the corruption scandal was not only initiated against his party, but also against Turkey as a country. The PM warned that such acts may happen again, unless they are stopped now.

Erdogan believes that the scandal is a coup attempt targeting the upcoming municipal elections of March.
