General Hasan Igsyz, who was the commander of the First Turkish Army until yesterday, was summoned to the prosecutor’s office in Istanbul to give testimony in the ‘Internet-plan’ case.
According to 1news.az, citing CNN-Turk, the Prosecutor Zekeriya Oz summoned 19 other officers. The prosecutor is working on the scandalous case ‘Energenekon’. Igsyz was summoned on August 2nd, but has not gone to the office yet.
The text of the ‘Internet-plan’ was received from an anonymous officer. The General Staff was working on black PR, trying to ruin the reputation of the government. An internet page was created, the investigation reports, citing the anonymous officer.
The plan was made by General Hasan Igsyz, assisted by two generals, the message of the anonymous officer says.
The IP-addresses of the Defense Ministry were used by the General Staff of the armed forces. The Commander of the North Fleet, Admiral Mehmet Otuzabiroglu of the ‘Balyoz’ case, and the arrested Colonel Dursun Chichek of the ‘Energekon’ case are also involved.
