The European Union is considering the possibility of establishing a diplomatic mission in Iran. According to a source, diplomats of several European states are pursuing European Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton to appoint an EU envoy to Iran, ITAR-TASS reports.
The EU is soon expected to lift some of the sanctions imposed on Iran due to its nuclear programme.
