Russian Minister for Regional Development Igor Slyunyayev said that 15.2 billion rubles will be issued for school construction in the North Caucasus within the Russia’s South Federal Purpose Program (2014-2020) in the next three years, Interfax reports.
He reminded that about 18,000 children in the region were studying in three shifts.
32 schools will be built in Chechnya, 14 in Dagestan, 4 in the Stavropol Territory. Over 10 billion rubles will be granted from the federal budget every year in 2017-2020 due to demographic trends in the North Caucasus.
