The Ukrainian Cabinet will discuss and pass a program for cooperation with members of the Moscow-led Customs Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan) for 2014-2020. Minister for Economic Development and Trade Igor Prasolov will be a rapporteur at the meeting and will also present the program for home trade for 2014-2016, ITAR-TASS reports.
The Cabinet will consider the concept of the state purpose program for reform and develop the defense industry until 2017, concept of the economic program for development of car construction until 2020.
Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych said in December that Kiev should learn its lessons of 2013 when trade turnover with members of the Customs Union had dropped. He noted that, in order to prevent such tendencies, Ukraine should cooperate with the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Community. The president reminded that Ukraine had become an observer at the Eurasian Economic Commission.
