Nato hopes Russia will join missile defense project in Europe

Nato hopes that Russian will agree to join the alliance's missile defense project in Europe so that the situation surrounding security in the region will improve, the body's Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow said.

"I still hope that our cooperation over the missile shield will change the whole paradigm of Nato-Russian ties," the official is quoted as saying by ITAR-TASS.
