The new plan for development of the Armenian Armed Forces will be realized in 2016-2020, Defense Minister Seyran Oganyan said today, News Armenia reports.
The new stage of strategic defense reconsideration started in 2013. It will allow the military to evaluate security threats in 2014-2015 and develop a new plan for the next four years.
The minister noted that special attention will be paid to technical support of the Armed Forces, such as supplies of advanced weapons and vehicles, development of long-range and accurate weapons. Such strategy will allow accomplishment of big missions using small forces and prevent attacks from neighbour states.
