Today at a press briefing in Brussels, the press secretary of the EU's head of diplomacy Catherine Ashton, Maya Kotsyanchich, said that a Russian-EU summit is to be held on January 28 in a modified format.
"There is some variation to the format of the summit, because our leaders have agreed with President Putin to focus on in-depth thinking, regarding the principles and nature of our strategic partnership. In this context, the debate will focus on our common interests, but also on the existing differences between us," Kotsyanchich is quoted by Interfax.
