Iraqi Oil Minister Abdel Karim al-Lueibi announced on Friday that the country was going to respond with sanctions to Kurdish oil deliveries to Europe via Turkey. According to Alexey Lyalchenko, the move is quite understandable, but ineffective.
The expert notes that the Iraqi authorities do not control the territory of Kurdistan and it is treated more like an independent state.
