Georgian President Georgy Margvelashvili will visit Turkey today and meet Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Speaker of Parliament Cemil Cicek, Trend reports.
Margvelashvili will visit the Ataturk Mausoleum. He will also meet representatives of the Georgian community in Turkey. He will then visit the Tao-Klarjeti Region, a former Georgian territory.
This will be the Georgian president’s second official foreign visit since the EU summit in Vilnius.
