Dagestani vice prime minister detained in Moscow

Dagestani Vice Prime Minister Magomedgusen Nasrutdinov was detained at the Moscow Vnukovo Airport on Sunday night on fraud charges, Kommersant reports.

Nasrutdinov was the Director General of Dagestanregiongaz and chairman of the board of Daggaz. He made a deal in 2002, selling gas networks of 9 municipalities of Dagestan to Daggaz for 58 million rubles, while the market price for the property totaled 197.73 million rubles.

According to the police, Nasrutdinov offered Gazprom to buy the networks back for 5 billion rubles. The latter has not commented on the information.
