Georgian Minister for Economy and Sistainable Development Georgy Kvirikashvili and South Korean Minister for Oceans and Fisheries Yoon Jin-Suk signed a maritime transportation deal in Tbilisi yesterday, Trend reports.
Kvirikashvili said that they had discussed cooperation of their maritime academies. South Korea may start training Georgian cadets. The sides discussed tourism, Korean investments in construction of a deep-water port in Georgia and shipbuilding.
The Korean Maritime Institute and the Batumi State Naval Academy plan to sign a memorandum of understanding today.
