Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said today that the Geneva-2 Conference should focus on fighting extremism and Al Qaeda.
He emphasized that dictating recipes for Syria will not bring reconciliation. Lavrov noted that Russia was satisfied with decisions of Syria and Iran as a counterbalance to attempts of bypassing the UN Charter.
The Russian minister reminded that the international conference in Switzerland will open tomorrow and should give a start to the inter-Syrian dialogue basing on the Geneva Communique of June 30, 2012.
