Ruling party urges Ukrainian president to declare state of emergency

The Lugansk faction of the ruling Party of Regions has called on Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to declare a state of emergency in country's capital city, Kyiv, ITAR-TASS reports on Tuesday.

Several blocs of the city are now controlled by radical groups within the opposition.

The lawmakers from the ruling party blame opposition leaders Vitaly Klichko, Arseny Atsenyuk and Oleg Tyagnibok for the escalation of the political conflict.
