Dmitry Sablin of the Federation Council of Russia met Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and said that Russian MPs, officials of religious and public organizations will monitor the Syrian presidential polls, RIA Novosti reports.
The sides discuss terrorism and Russian-Syrian cooperation. Assad thanked Russia for support and humanitarian aid.
