Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych has ordered scrupulous investigations to find people responsible for beating protesters to death at the Kiev center, RIA Novosti reports.
The Prosecutor General’s Office has confirmed two dead in the mass protests of Kiev. The 057.ua website said four were killed. The website emphasized that two of them were shot from the Dragunov sniper rifle.
The new escalation of protests in Kiev started on January 19. Protesters used violence against the police, threw Molotov cocktails.
195 officers were injured, 84 of them hospitalized. 100 protesters were injured.
