Pope calls for peace in Syria

Pope Francis has urged the participants in the second round of the Geneva conference devoted to the Syria crisis to stop the bloodshed in the country, Interfax reports on Tuesday.

The pope addressed a crowd gathered on St. Peter's Square in Rome, saying that he was praying to God for those who have the power to stop the violence against the Syrian people.
